Street photography is, at least for me, about harmony. The perfect and imperfect relationship between the environment and the subjects that populate it. The geometry of its walls, ceilings, roofs, stairs, and columns. The futile presence of someone who walks its paths, entering only for a second in a frame that lasts just fractions of seconds.
Can it exist with no environment? No. Can it be without a subject? Also, no.
In this body of work, I explored this relationship, partially removing the subjects of the image by applying red paint over the printed photograph. By doing this, I also blended both the subject and the environment, creating a red, geometrical line that removes and brings focus to both parts equally.
